Josep and Jordi Cos, father and son, weren’t always convinced by Arcusin. For years, they tested different olive tree shakers without success. They even blamed poor harvests on the weather, unaware that the real issue was the damage their trees suffered during each collection. Everything changed when they chose the AutoPick GTi.
From their farm at the foot of Montserrat (Barcelona), where they produce high-quality olive oil, they have experienced a complete transformation. What was once a slow, costly process is now fast and efficient. "Every day, we get oil the same day," they explain. They harvest the olives in the morning, take them to the mill at midday, and within a couple of hours, return home with full containers.
They cultivate varieties such as Vera, Arbequina, and Palomar, always prioritising excellence. But what has truly made a difference is the precision of the AutoPick GTi. Its vibration system ensures the olives fall smoothly onto the net, without impact or damage to the tree. "If the vibration isn’t right, the tree suffers. With Arcusin, it’s as if you haven’t even touched it," says Josep.
Beyond improving oil quality, the AutoPick GTi has significantly increased the efficiency of their business. "With far fewer workers, we harvest much faster," says Jordi. In just an eight-hour day, they can process between 250 and 300 trees—something unthinkable with traditional methods.
After trying multiple options, Josep and Jordi have found their ultimate solution. So much so that this is already their fifth Arcusin shaker. "No other machine has worked for me," concludes Josep.
